What to Expect
When you come in, expect smiling, friendly faces! First Baptist is a multi-generational church with a passion for spreading the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ. We welcome people of all ages and from all walks of life. We are an historic church, built over 140 years ago, but that hasn’t stopped our progress into the twenty-first century!
We strive to be disciples of Jesus by following His commands and by using love as our first response. Being a disciple is all about following Jesus. In Scripture, Jesus taught and modeled for us a way of life that is centered on loving God and loving others. It is in the company of other Christians and by the power of the Holy Spirit that we best learn and grow in our discipleship journey.
It is God’s desire that all would come to know Him and follow Him. God has chosen to use us to invite others into a journey of following Jesus. God is the one who transforms hearts and minds, but gives us the privilege and joy of partnering with him in this process of making disciples.
Nursery and Toddler Care is available for children under the age of 3 during the Sunday morning services. School-age children are encouraged to sit with their parents in the service. Activity bags are located at the back of the Sanctuary if needed.
